The System Live: Montuno

We kick off a brand new set of live music gigs with Montuno, bringing their fiery blend of deep funk, jazz & Nuyorican soul to The System.

Featured on the Craig Charles BBC Funk & Soul Show (twice on BBC radio and once live!) they’ve always been at the heart of Sheffield’s funk, soul & Latin jazz scene - playing at Tramlines, the MOBOs & Sheffield’s inaugural Brazilian carnival last year.

Most recently they’ve been championing the jazz & funk renaissance in Sheffield, collaborating with Footprints Jazz Club and as house band for the mighty Funky Drummer. Bring your dancing shoes!
