Brighton's clubs and venues are concentrated along the seafront and in the city centre. Concorde 2 sits on the seafront with an L-Acoustics sound system, three rooms, and a 600 capacity — it has won Music Week and Live Music Business awards. Patterns is a multi-floor venue on the seafront with an underground club space and terrace, focused on electronic music. CHALK is an independent multi-purpose venue opposite Brighton Pier.
Beyond the main seafront cluster, Brighton has a healthy circuit of smaller clubs, live music pubs, and basement venues across the Lanes and North Laine. The city also has a strong pub-venue scene where bars host regular DJ sets and small gigs. Kemptown has its own dedicated LGBTQ+ venues and bars.
