On 5th July, Bar Shrimp hosts the next edition of Toki-O Nights, a free to attend listening bar series inspired by Japan’s kissaten culture.
This instalment features Donna Leake, a selector and broadcaster known for deep, eclectic sets that move across Jazz, Funk, Phsychedelic music and Global Grooves. With strong associations to the London scene and NTS Radio, she hosts shows built around sonic exploration and discovery.
With hi-fi sound from Technics and Toki Highballs served throughout the evening, the event channels the slower, more intentional atmosphere of Japanese listening bar culture.
