Question 1

Accepted Answer

Mad Friday 2026 is Friday 18 December, the last Friday before Christmas. It is one of the busiest nights out of the year, as many people finish work for Christmas, so expect queues and book ahead where you can.

Question 2

What's on in Edinburgh on Boxing Day?

Accepted Answer

Boxing Day is Saturday 26 December 2026. Clubs and bars often put on Boxing Day parties, and any listed in Edinburgh appear on this page alongside the rest of the Christmas season.

Question 3

What kinds of Christmas events are on in Edinburgh?

Accepted Answer

Listings here can include Christmas parties, festive club nights, Christmas specials of regular nights, tribute and party bands, comedy, bingo and candlelit concerts, gathered from multiple ticket sites and organisers.

Question 4

Should I book Christmas party tickets in advance?

Accepted Answer

December weekends sell out quickly, and many events move to higher-priced tickets as the date gets closer. Booking ahead at the original ticket source is usually worth it, especially for Mad Friday and the weekends before Christmas.
