About this event

Curtain Twitcher proudly present the third Neighbourhood Watch meeting with live music from:

Pefkin is the solo project of Gayle Brogan. creating slowly-unfolding, ritualistic hymnals that draw heavily on the landscape and natural world, using processed violin / viola, electronics, voice and field recordings. She has released albums internationally on labels such as Morc, Wild Silence, Nite Hive, Folklore Tapes and Sonido Polifonico. She is also one half of innovative folk duo Burd Ellen, a third of psychedelic electric folk trio Meadowsilver, a member of megalith-inspired trio MMM (with Elizabeth Still and Nick Jonah Davis), and has collaborated with cult Irish singer-songwriter Alison O'Donnell and modular synth composer Jonathan Sharp.

Movement81 is an audiovisual project exploring the interconnected wormholes between 80s indie synth and 90s dance in a spaceship from the future, powered by the collective energy of today. Piloted by two fine artists and philosophical researchers, Jason&Becky, their flightpath often connects with the wider themes of their art practice, realised through immersive, interactive AV installations.

Following support slots with Plaid and Max Cooper, plays on BBC Radio 1's ‘Introducing Dance’ with Jaguar, and the release of their debut album ‘If infinity’, Movement81 continue to develop distinctive live AV experiences; crafting emotive, immersive shows designed to invite audiences on a shared journey through rhythm, light and connection.

Curtain Twitcher are a female electronic duo from Sheffield whose signature corrupted downtempo post Balearic chug is both jugular hitting yet psychedelic, proving instrumental electronica can be both fun and sophisticated at the same time.

“It’s an exercise in how human, tactile and loveable electronic music can be in the right hands” (Electronic Sound Magazine)

Plus vinyl DJ sets from Memory Dance and Stephen Singleton, featuring psychedelic oil projections by the Mad Hatter's Light Show. All set in the sweet analogue space of Mary Street Live.
