About
Footprints Jazz Festival returns on Saturday 30th January for a two-part exploration of sound, music and community, showcasing Northern artists.
The main festival takes place at Peddler Warehouse followed by After Party at The System.
We’re delighted to welcome the mighty Ancient Infinity Orchestra in full-format, at the end of their European tour, as this year’s headliner. Led by double bassist and composer Ozzy Moysey, the 16-piece ensemble comes from Leeds.
Joining them are NOMAD x Nobuto, an explorative collaboration between Manchester-based string and vocal trio NOMAD and British-Japanese composer Ben Nobuto.
Sarah Heneghan is no stranger to Sheffield’s improvised music scene. An incredible drummer and composer, she brings her new outfit to Footprints, exploring the spaces between contemporary jazz, North European jazz, folk and minimalism.
Leeds-based poet Seki Lynch will be opening the ceremony.
The After Party for the festival will be at The System, a brand-new, intimate club space round the corne from Peddler Warehouse.
We have Andrea Montalto b2b Nonna Fab and Linga Sound taking us through until 4am.
Tickets are available for both events separately, with combo tickets available too.
