It happens again!
With the same deep thought and care as all the other parties, I’m ever chuffed the rabbit hole I spend a good part of my daily life in, re-opens for full purpose once more this September!
Our guest of honour this time is one to be grateful for. Bristol’s well-known Morey Cillar is daring the jump down the wormhole!
After tons of thought over White Rabbit’s next companion, and weighing up countless possibilities, Corey became the only right choice.
I fuckin’ love Corey. He’s a true record freak; he lives and breathes records in an almost beast-like manner. Those lucky enough to have ever set foot in his Bristol record shop, Disk Frisk, will quite quickly gather this.
Disk Frisk is a unique experience. It sits amongst the growing list of “curated record shops” that are popular today; however, I can confidently say there’s only one Disk Frisk out there. It’s a shop that completely bleeds his personality. It rules out nothing; an open-minded space for the weird and wonderful, as well as just outright bangers. He’s apparently tipped off a few people called Jane Fitz, Craig Richards, Vladimir Ivkovic and Nosedrip... but I don’t.think they re too important.
The shop’s catalogue is completely interlinked with how he is as a DJ. To quote what I was once told by him in the shop: “THERE’S NO FUCKIN’ RULES!” That ethos definitely shines through. Corey will quite happily switch from DIY post-punk to tribal breakbeat like it’s nobody’s business.
I’m not going to sit here and give you a wordy list of genres he’s going to play because, trust me, it’s all going to be packed into the journey.
The journey commences on Friday the 11th. Please come aboard and help us give one of today’s best record miners a warm White Rabbit welcome.
