About this event

Formed in Gothenburg in early 2024, Sylvie's Head have quickly established themselves as one of Sweden's most exciting new bands. Blending breakbeats, chainsaw guitars, dub, post-punk and euphoric club culture into a sound entirely their own, the four-piece occupy a space where underground dance music collides with explosive rock & roll.Their debut EP “Sharp Shooter”, followed by the singles “Godstar”, “Frankie” and “Pure Control”, rapidly built a reputation for a band whose incendiary live shows were every bit as captivating as their recordings. The momentum earned them a nomination for Best Rock at the 2026 Manifest Awards and appearances at leading showcase festivals including The Great Escape, Focus Wales, Sharpe Festival and Colours of Ostrava, alongside headline shows across Sweden and Europe.

Released in 2026, their debut album “Everything Is Free” marked a major breakthrough. The record received widespread acclaim from Sweden's leading newspapers and music publications, including Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Göteborgs-Posten and Aftonbladet, while the single Pure Control was selected as Hit of the Week on Swedish national radio P3, earning heavy national airplay.

Internationally, the band have been championed by BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio, with continued support from presenters including John Kennedy, Amy Lamé and Chris Hawkins. The album has also received extensive editorial backing from Spotify and Apple Music, including the cover of Spotify's Indie Highlights, placements on New Music Friday in Sweden and Norway, Fresh Finds Nordics, and numerous flagship editorial Playlists.

On stage, Sylvie's Head have become known for performances that are as euphoric as they are unpredictable. Combining the pulse of rave culture with the intensity of post-punk and psychedelic rock, the band transform every show into a volatile collision of rhythm, noise and release. With a rapidly growing international profile, Sylvie's Head are emerging as one of the most distinctive new acts to come out of Scandinavia in recent years.
