Slowpoke presents: Jo Quail + Greet

The sweet spot where post-rock meets classical is where you'll find Jo Quail. She will be joined by experimental folk act, Greet.

Jo Quail has brought cello to the forefront; her own original compositions and her contributions to the work of others (God Is An Astronaut, Emma Ruth Rundle, Lustmord) have put her on the map of contemporary music. This gig has been two years in the making, but finally Jo will bring her extrordinarily compelling music (as well as her effervescent charm) to Glossop.

Joining Jo will be Matthew Broadley AKA Greet. This will be his second time performing in Glossop; his haunting accordian-and-vocal led tunes add an experimental twist to modern folk.

This show operates a NOTAFLOF (No-One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds) policy - if you'd like to come along and do not have the financial means to buy a ticket please reach out - becky@slowpoke.co.uk and I'll take care of it.

The Globe serves great vegan food until 9pm, so come down early and fill your belly. The show will be over by around 10pm so you will have plenty of time to catch the last train back to Manchester. There is free street parking outside the venue.
