Skream - Open to Close

Twenty years in, Skream still has the drive of an artist just getting started. He’s toured the world countless times, played every major festival and club, and never slows down, whether he’s cooking up something fresh in the studio or tearing up another party. Music runs to his core, and he lives it every day. His versatility and hunger for new energy are key to his longevity. Back to backs with everyone from Seth Troxler and Dom Dolla to Oblig, Dennis Ferrer, Mala and his original partner in crime Benga show how easily he adapts, moving from old school garage to disco to deep techno in a way that makes perfect sense given his history. His productions, released on his own IFeel label and Circoloco Records among others, show the same range: ‘The Attention Deficit Track’ with the late, great Jackmaster, ‘Pound Town’ with Partiboi69 and ‘Imali Yami’ with Mxshi Mo. With an aversion to mediocrity and a habit of giving 100% every time, enjoying himself as much as the dancefloor does, Skream remains one of the UK’s most treasured electronic artists, keeping the legacy of UK rave culture alive.
