As Romare, Archie Fairhurst’s working practice is rooted in building vivid new forms out of existing material. Playful but also deeply researched, he compiles patchworks of inspirations and obsessive lines of enquiry made from a global panoply of source material.
Since his breakthrough debut Meditations on Afrocentrism and acclaimed releases on Ninja Tune, Fairhurst has continually evolved his sound, most recently with 2026’s Oblivion, a reflective new album where he explores contemporary issues for the first time.
Renowned for transforming his studio work into dynamic, club-focused performances, Romare brings his latest album to life in a live show that balances his intricate musical patchwork with the spontaneity of the dancefloor.
