About this event

Robyn’s Rocket is taking off once again. This month we have:

Elliot Galvin, a leading force in UK jazz, with five acclaimed solo albums and credits including the Mercury nominated Dinosaur. Elliot has collaborated with the likes of Shabaka Hutchings, Binker Golding, and Emma-Jean Thackray.

Robyn Rocket, who plays space trumpet (trumpet through guitar pedals) and enjoys playing with other people and making it up as they go along, because it’s a really honest way to make music.

Monster Machine, who make powerful and joyful headbangers. Ghost riders, monsters, snakes, skeletons and dragons inhabit their spooky, crazy, raw punk rock. Monster Machine are Alicia (vocals and bass), Ehima (drums) and Sam (synths and vocals). Jump up and dance crazy to the new sound of Monster Machine!

Ruth Goller, who plays bass guitar and sings. Her Skylla project is released on International anthem, and she’s well known for performing and recording with artists like Alabaster Deplume, Shabaka Hutchings, Kit Downes, and Paul McCartney.

Ultan O’Brien, who plays Viola and has played and recorded with acts such as Martin Green (Lau), Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Nic Gareiss, Laura Jurd, Slow Moving Clouds, Skipper’s Alley, Neil Ó Lochlainn’s Cuar, and John Francis Flynn.

Tickets: £12 in advance, £7 for Cafe OTO members, £14 on the door

Doors are at 7:30pm and music starts at 8pm.

The gig is also streamed online.

Robyn’s Rocket offers an equal platform for artists with and without Learning Disabilities, and Autistic and non-Autistic artists. It aims to be Inclusive Conscious. That means looking at who is not in the space, thinking of ways to invite them in, and then asking for feedback and making things better.
