Pavel Doronin presents Genius Loci with Oskar Jones & Liqvitsky

London-based producer Pavel Doronin launches his debut album Genius Loci, out on the London ambient and experimental imprint SWIMS, with an audiovisual performance at Coldharbour Blue cinema.

The album combines modular electronics, theremin, saxophone and a rich array of field recordings, mapping a psychogeography that criss-crosses from the Bavarian banks of the Danube to the Irish Sea and back again. On the night, the album is performed live alongside a cinematic visual piece made for the show.

Pavel is joined by Oskar Jones, an award-winning saxophonist and a first-class 2025 graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Jazz Performance Masters. Oskar also played the saxophone parts on the "Genius Loci" album.

The night opens with Liqvitsky, an experimental artist who pairs heavily processed field recordings with unexpected polyrhythms.
