Imagine Halloween and Valentine's Day had a baby. That's basically the idea behind Valloween!
Think black hearts instead of pink ones, black roses, gothic outfits, dark makeup, alternative music and people getting dressed up in whatever makes them feel like themselves. It's basically Valentine's Day for people who love the darker side of things.
The idea is to celebrate love but it's more about dark romance, gothic culture, alternative fashion, and the music that makes you feel something. You can be into goth, techno, punk, vampires, horror, or just love dressing up for Halloween. You don't have to fit into one particular scene to get it.
Music: Dark Disco, Darkwave, Goth, EBM, Industrial Techno, Hypnotic Techno and everything in between
What to wear?
Honestly, this is probably one of the best parts because you can have so much fun with it.
The dress code is basically Halloween meets dark romance. You can go full vampire, wear a gothic dress, dress like a dark angel or just wear your usual black outfit with a few extra accessories.
Some ideas:
Black lace, corsets, velvet, fishnets, and chunky boots
Vampire inspired outfits, dramatic capes, dark suits, and red lipstick
Gothic Valentine's looks with black and red hearts, roses, and romantic details
Skeletons, witches, fallen angels, and other Halloween inspired looks
You don't have to show up in a full costume if that's not your thing. You can go all out or keep it simple. The point is to have fun with the theme and wear something you feel comfortable in.
There is no strict dress code.
