This Halloween, London’s Necropolis Festival invites you to step into a world where the dark, the mysterious, and the haunting come alive.
Set in the chillingly beautiful Old Church, one of London’s oldest Elizabethan churches, the festival offers a unique experience for those seeking a truly unforgettable Halloween night. With its historic cemetery just outside, the atmosphere is perfect for a night that blurs the line between eerie and exhilarating.
Come dressed in your finest gothic attire, or as your favorite ghoul, monster, or creature of the night, and prepare to dance beneath the gothic arches to a carefully curated journey of darkwave, dark disco, EBM, hypnotic techno and industrial techno.
Finding a Halloween party that is both spooky and spectacular is never easy but at Necropolis, the combination of centuries old architecture, lights, and a cemetery just steps away sets the stage for a truly otherworldly experience. Whether you’re a devoted goth, a techno lover, or just someone looking for a night of dark celebration, Necropolis promises an atmosphere that is intoxicating, immersive, and impossible to forget.
The name ''Necropolis'' is from the Ancient Greek, νεκρόπολις (nekropolis), and means "city of the dead".
About the Venue: The Old Church is the only remaining Elizabethan church in London and one of the oldest in the country to have been built as an Anglican church. It owes its origins to Stoke Newington’s sixteenth century Lord of the Manor, William Patten. In 1563 he decided to rebuild the old parish church, which had become almost derelict. You can see the date, and the motto ‘ab alto’ (‘from above’), above the main door.
