Join Pandit Debasis Chakroborty for an Indian Slide Guitar Masterclass on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, at Oasis Academy Silvertown, London.

Presented as part of Kala Festival 2026, this three-hour workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn directly from one of the leading exponents of the Indian slide guitar. Rooted in the Senia-Maihar Gharana, the session explores the foundations of Hindustani classical music through practical demonstrations and interactive learning.

The masterclass is open to musicians of all experience levels and welcomes a variety of stringed instruments, including acoustic and electric guitar, violin, cello, sitar, sarod, mandolin, and Indian slide guitar. Participants will explore techniques such as meend, andolan, and kan, along with the fundamentals of raga development, improvisation, tala, and rhythmic structure.
