Futur.Shock and UNDER MY FEET. present INTERREGNUM, a night of experimental performance, sound, moving image and contemporary art exploring what happens when the structures around us begin to fracture, while whatever comes next has yet to emerge.
We exist in the space between collapse and becoming: stretched between survival, precarity, grief and the possibility of something else. This edition looks at raw guttural and political vulnerability, the individual and the collective as structures under pressure, continually adapting,
resisting and holding each other together.
The programme brings together artists working across live sound, performance and interdisciplinary practice, and includes the premiere of a collaboration between Imogen Heap’s new experimental project Him Gone Ape and Ireen Amnes, alongside Nkisi; dave and the scallys; Liam Noonan & Karolina Magnusson Murray; and Rami Abi Rafeh.
Drawing on the idea of tensegrity, structures held through a dynamic balance of tension and compression. The evening asks what it means to keep moving, creating and connecting within systems that demand constant productivity while leaving little space to pause or imagine otherwise.
INTERREGNUM is a space for pressure, rupture and collective release, where what holds us together can also pull us apart.
