About this event

DUBMERGE is a club night celebrating the deep, soulful, bass-rich continuum of UK sound system culture. Expect the best of the local underground selectors delivering low-end pressure, earthy percussion, rolling basslines, and syncopated rhythms with a dubwise attitude.

Moontalk

London-based DJ, filmmaker and founder of Dubmerge Moontalk is driven by a passion for building immersive dream worlds through sonic explorations. Laced with nostalgia and driven by thumping basslines, her sound carries a forward-thinking, dubwise energy that cuts across genres, weaving together dub pressure, polyrhythmic play and percussive textures, anchored in low-end psychedelia and often sprinkled with jazz and soulful flavours.

Drawing from a wide spectrum of sounds, tempos and eras, genre always comes second to feeling in her sets. Moontalk has shaped dancefloors and deep-listening rooms from Lost Village to Southbank Centre, with regular appearances at London’s beloved clubs including Corsica Studios, Colour Factory, Palais and MOT.

She continues to evolve her sound through monthly residencies at Voices Radio and Om Being, guided by an open-minded and adventurous approach.

ŌKAMI

Named after the Japanese word for wolf, ŌKAMI is the side project of music artist Kamī. Highlighted as one of Mixmag Asia’s ‘artists exciting us in 2025’, her mixes have been featured on the likes of NTS, Foundation FM, Radio Alhara, Reprezent Radio and beyond.

A vibrant performer with plenty of raw energy on the decks, she has found her footing spinning at the likes of The Cause, Corsica Studios, Phonox and Palais, as well as a number of independent festivals and recently returning from touring Japan.

ŌKAMI will be bringing a specially crafted offering to Dubmerge, returning to her deep affinity for the intersection between the worlds of ambient and dubstep - drawing sonic connections between the ceremonial instruments of Shinto-Buddhist temples from her upbringing with the unmistakable elements of soundsystem music. Expect to be taken deep into the mystic realm through watery basslines, organic percussion and layered atmospherics.

THEMPRESS

THEMPRESS is a DJ, artist, presenter, cultural producer, educator & writer from East London. The ‘curated chaos’ of their genre-fluid style connects sounds and stories through the dualities of release and reflection. Their high energy club sets craft dynamic journeys spanning jungle, techno, footwork, global bass, and all ends of rhythmic rave exploration from beloved crowdpleasers to leftfield curveballs. With a decade of experience in radio, the airwaves provide space for their research into music history and passion for storytelling via conceptual worldbuilding across jazz, ambient, dub, hip-hop, and experimental electronics.

THEMPRESS has been making waves with standout sets at Glastonbury, Outlook, Boomtown, Printworks, Fabric, Drumsheds, We Out Here, Dour, and Field Maneuvers. The breadth of their musical curiosity and voracity for the decks has seen them support the likes of Kode9, Fabio & Grooverider, Honey Dijon, RP Boo, and DJ Assault. They hold long-standing residencies on Voices Radio and Netil Radio, and have hosted guest shows on NTS, BBC Radio 6, Rinse FM & Foundation FM.

A true community spirit, THEMPRESS is co-founder of Queer POC bass rave collective BUMPAH, a facilitator at the Good Night Out Campaign, and part of collectives Riposte and Pink Islands. Off the dancefloor, you can find them advocating for positive change for queer, disabled, and global majority communities as a renowned speaker, interviewer, and host. They are Community & Education Manager at Voices Radio, where they established the DJ Workshop Programme for marginalised communities in 2022. THEMPRESS’s educational work has been featured with the Southbank Centre, Resident Advisor, Crack Magazine, Beatport, IMS Ibiza, and a range of conferences, broadcasts, and grassroots spaces.
