Spreading the message of love, unity and social justice through wordplay.

After building a name on local sound systems in St Ann’s, Chezidek draws on the legacy of fellow natives Marcus Garvey, Burning Spear and Bob Marley.

“The Herbalist” broke through as a distinct, soulful voice in reggae, with hits such as ‘All My Life’, and ‘Call Pon Dem’, the latter granting a cult following due to its inclusion in GTA IV.

Two decades on, he remains one of the true torchbearers of roots reggae, remaining conscious, uncompromising and rooted in where he started.
