Abantu x Chila Nathi pres: Jazz Roots, House Futures

Jazz Roots, House Futures: Abantu & Chila Nathi join forces again for an evening of open-hearted-active-listening, live music, dinner and conversation.

This edition features four leading musicians improvising through a range of African, Caribbean, jazz and electronic music styles.

We’ll explore the personal archives, stories and memories these artists are both preserving and expanding through sound. Alongside the interplays across genres, the significant histories of African electronic music, and the ancient-to-future expressions of indigenous folk forms.

We’ll also discuss the rituals they use to nurture and protect their imaginations. Join us for a guided conversation with food, record sharing and a live improvised music performance to dance to.

The location is a secret restaurant in Putney, London. The exact address will be emailed to you the day before the event. Your ticket comes with food and drinks all night.
