Old Saw + Special Guests

Old Saw was formed by Henry Birdsey in 2021 as a recording project that evolved into a collective of revolving members from various corners of the northeastern United States. They make music with organs, fiddles, tape loops, pedal steel, hurdy-gurdy, banjo, harmonicas, and bells. The band began playing live in 2026 after releasing four LPs via Lobby Art Editions and Worried Songs. Their latest, and final album, The Wringing Cloth was released as a double LP in 2025.

"They develop those melodies one step further, at times even bordering on ‘songs’. Hypnotically repetitive acoustic guitar arpeggios on ‘Tilt Of The Lamp’ hint at early Leonard Cohen; the luxuriant sweep of ‘Blood Sumac’ hinges on a slide of straight-up country; ‘Mock Silver’ has a simple yearning urgency."- The Quietus

"Music for those who have ever hit a huge jump... and briefly wished to remain suspended in the sky forever." — Noise Not Music)."
