New York Yiddish sampling artist Chaia makes her Hope House debut with a drone based deep listening live electronic set.
On the iconic Cosmic Slop Soundsystem in Hope House’s Gallery space, Chaia will bring together Yiddish sounds recorded over the course of the last 100-years in a time-warp ancestral deep listening set. All are welcome to come lie or sit with eyes closed and engage with delicate organic sounds over the course of the evening.
The night will feature tabling from radical Jewish organizations Leeds Kehillah and Bashert, with Yiddish papercutting and other goodies. The evening will open and close with a set from Hope House’s own Billy Jack.
