About

Supertouch are handling the Glasgow leg of K Wata's upcoming Europe tour.

We're facilitating a different kind of third space - one that's just as social, warm, and loose as our late nights, but with the speed pulled down to an earthy, sludgy haze.

We'll be setting up Exit in "jazz-club" style, and reconfiguring the space significantly. It'll be comfy, smoky, seedy, friendly.

Expect downtempo, experimental, hip-hop, trip-hop, rap, sludgy post-techno, and everything dub has birthed into the world.

An artist who casts a long, feedback-drenched shadow, K Wata's reputation continues to reach further and more remote corners. His work sculpts sound as material, physical, and touchable, with a deep serenity, emotional charge, and unsettled abstraction.

He is a totally singular artist - sometimes when listening, his music strikes you with the impression that he himself has evaporated, filling the air with ghostly presence. Soon his spirit will be seeping into the porous, blackened walls of Glasgow's most-sacred "Former Strip Club", for *his first-ever* appearance in the Green Place.

Glasgow is a deep, sensitive, and spiritually charged city, with a sense of quiet, whispered emotional turbulence that has never really gone away, not in our lives at least. We think the sounds K Wata expresses, with faultless delicacy, will resonate here.

Featuring a live set from Noble Leisure and alexis p.s. in their first appearance as Vague Pure Affection,

3rdcrush downtempo set,

spoken / acoustic performances from Corin Whitmarsh and Wiktoria Zachcial,

and some novel visual decor from local illustrators.

This isn't a "club night", but it's also *not* an ambient night, or an explicitly deep-listening event. It's a downtempo night. While this will be a great environment to engage in deep listening, no one will be under any pressure to stay completely silent. Introversion and extraversion are equally welcome. Come to hang out.
