Waiting for this for so long: we are celebrating our sweet SIXTEENTH anniversary of "you think anyone would show up if we did a goth disco night?"

Early birds may well find some badges/stickers at the cash desk, since we get asked every so often about merch. And for everyone, the usual rules apply: cheap entry, dress comfy, show solidarity, and get lost in the smoke. We're so proud to have been there for you since 2010.

All the finest new and classic goth and italo-disco beats, bowls of sweets at the bar, and two very tired but happy DJs who'll each have a can of watermelon Schöfferhofer or whatever the cheapest pint is, thank you. <3

Tickets on the door can be paid for by cash or card.

Access to the event is at the venue and cash desk’s discretion, even with a ticket, and this is subject to withdrawal at any time throughout the night. Please help keep our space safe for everyone.

ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is a basement venue, accessed down a flight of stairs. If you wish to discuss ways to access, please contact the venue directly.

We will be using mostly low lighting and smoke machines, visibility may be limited. Audio levels should be loud enough to dance to, but low enough that you shouldn’t need to raise your voice to chat. If you need earplugs, please ask bar staff or DJs.

All toilets are gender-neutral. There are toilets in the stairwell down to the venue, and in the bar space upstairs.

Danse Macabre operates a strict safe space policy and will not tolerate bigotry of any kind. Anyone who feels uncomfortable, harassed, or in danger, should immediately come to the DJ booth, and a member of venue staff or security will be called if required.

The nearest railway station is Glasgow Central, and the nearest Subway stations are Buchanan Street and St Enoch. The area is served by a number of buses, and at weekends the Gordon Street taxi rank is usually stewarded.
