Shahrazadi
Inspired by azadi – freedom – and the age old Middle Eastern tradition of dancing the night away.
Former Edinburgh now London-based Shahrazadi, an orchestrator of high energy tunes mixing and blending across Arabic Bass, electro, heavy percussion, jersey club, baile and arabic rap. Shahrazadi has opened for Falastin Film Festival at the biscuit factory, played at festivals Kelburn Garden Party, Terminal V, Subterranean Sound and DAYS festival. RARE nights at Sneaky Petes described Shahrazadi as “probably the best Rare at Sneaky's”, with gigs being anticipated in the SKINNY magazine. With a commitment to community, Shahrazadi will take you on a musical journey.
Ot Pascoe
Every week, illustrator, community worker and ex-Sett Studios committee member Ot soundtracks breakfasts city-wide as EHFM’s Thursday Morning resident. Drawing on their psychedelic, cartoon world, you can expect a genre-spanning set that weaves together playful, synth-heavy selections - from new wave and art rock classics to dark EBM and squelching acid chuggers. They’ve supported NTS’ Macca, and play regularly around town for the likes of Popular Music, Haptic, Fangs, Microsteria and Edinburgh Psych Fest.
--All profits from the night will go towards improving the series and paying artists more.
