Edinburgh-Based Sweet Philly has been steadily growing in profile, supporting headliner artists like Iglooghost, I. Jordan, Uniiqu3, Tygapaw, Taahliah,Teki Latex, Bimini (Drag Race UK) and Martyn Bootyspoon alongside heaps of Scottish favourites.
They fuse the sounds of Jersey & Baltimore with Techno, Ballroom, UK Bass & Hard Drum textures, taking dancers on a cross-genre journey that uplifts the sounds of the queer underground. Harder club sounds are infused with disparate acapellas, snippets of vogue and ballroom classics, familiar vocal hooks and things you've never heard before. Over the past decade they've developed a collage-like approach to selecting that consistently keeps audiences moving, keeps them on their toes and takes them on a journey. There's power in preparation, and this club chameleon has done their homework, developing a confident, cardio-heavy, improvisational mixing style with more than enough energy to keep a crowd moving
