🐣 The OPA Pandeiro Workshop (Orquestra Panderística Anarquista) with Pazsarinha comes to EdinburghFundamentals + RHYTHM❤️ OPA is a horizontal, non-hierarchical percussion collective, where we learn, exchange, and make music in a circle — everyone has a voice and everyone plays! All you'll need is your body and a pandeiro (if you don't have one, let the production team know in advance)👩🏫 In this workshop we'll work on building intimacy with the language of the pandeiro, starting with the fundamentals of the instrument and the basic strokes, for those who are just arriving or want to review the basics. From there, we'll dive deeper into samba and samba de coco rhythms, body awareness, history, rhythm, and practical application.🥳 A workshop for those who want to walk away playing with presence, interaction, and the freedom to discover themselves as creators of sound — and of the party itself!‼️ OPAndeiro will be available for purchase
