About the performers:
Ellen ER is an Edinburgh-based duo comprised by Mariangela Alejandro Cortez and Oscar Davis. Screaming, guitars, drum machines, and gloves filled with couscous have all been used to create an array of noisy sounds.
maniatrix is an Edinburgh-based performer and vocalist. Their new album, Body Build Rate, is a sonic journey through electro ambient spoken word, gothic hymns ruminating on loneliness, filled with classical influences as well as electro beats.
Maniatrix writes of loneliness, struggling with self image, mortality and vanity. They tackle these themes through the lens of modern masculinity; maniatrix is inspired by bodybuilding competitions, martial arts machismo, and buttoned up business bourgeois a la Patrick Bateman, wearing suits and bearing muscles.
Ascetic Practices are an Edinburgh DJ Collective, known for their unforgettable underground dark and gothic club nights.
