Hobbes Music x Noetic Rhythm (Launch Party): David Jackson, Maya Hacker, Hobbes

After three years of sweat-soaked, memorable nights at the Bongo club in collaboration with Club_Nacht, Hobbes Music returns this autumn with a new chapter: Noetic Rhythm.

Taking its name from the label’s new sub-label, Noetic Rhythm is founded on a simple idea: bringing people together and elevating consciousness through a shared dance-floor experience built on collective energy, connection and the unifying power of rhythm.

It’s an idea that feels particularly at home in the Bongo: a club with almost three decades of underground history, one of the best sound systems in Scotland and a long-standing home for Edinburgh’s independently minded, alternative and leftfield music community, where the crowd are the real stars of the show.

The first session lands on Saturday 12 September, with the much-anticipated return of David Jackson. The Irish-German DJ and producer last joined us in September 2024, delivering an absolute blinder of a set that made a deep impression on everyone who experienced it. Two years on, his return feels like unfinished business.

Jackson’s reputation extends well beyond the booth. His production CV includes releases on Frank Music, Positiva Records, Sulta Selects, Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs, Studio Barnhus and Running Back, with his distinctive blend of Italo disco, trance euphoria, synth-heavy house and playful electronic oddities earning support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Gerd Janson, Denis Sulta, Mall Grab, DJ Seinfeld and Prospa, among others. His work with Georgia, Get Me Higher, was also officially playlisted by BBC Radio 1.

Club_Nacht x Hobbes Music

His return follows an ever-evolving Club_Nacht collaboration that brought international luminaries such as Etienne de Crecy, Bradley Zero, Crazy P, Hammer, Session Victim, MiNNA, Wallace, Anish Kumar, Austin Ato, COEO, O'Flynn, Kirollus, OOFT!, Barbara Boeing and others to Bongo.

With Noetic Rhythm’s second vinyl release due later this season - 'The Melodica Sessions' from George T (aka one half of Accident Machine) - the label is already gathering momentum, following Leonidas’ 'Love For Black Lives', which sold out in under a month earlier this year.

Expect heavyweight underground pressure from a carefully selected label roster of local and international talent, alongside guests from the broader global house scene. In other words: noetic frequencies, proper records and dancefloor business.
