About this event

Kangding Ray performs a live reworking of his extraordinary techno score for Sirât, Óliver Laxe's Cannes Jury Prize-winning film, moving far beyond the original soundtrack, accompanied by breathtaking unseen visuals from the shoot provided by Laxe. The Crane Room is a converted torpedo warehouse on the edge of Bristol's Feeder Canal.

Sirât won the Jury Prize at Cannes 2025 and earned two Oscar nominations. Kangding Ray's score won the Cannes Soundtrack Award and the Goya for Best Original Score. Kangding Ray and Oliver Laxe attend the wider Encounters Film Festival (23–27 Sep).
