About

Love Thy Neighbour Presents: Triptych IX, night one featuring CEANN CAPAILL, Maximilian & Sairie. Get tickets above or from Seetickets. 18+ only

Triptych consists of three nights, each featuring three of our favourite bands and each accompanied by a lathe-cut vinyl release, one for each night, limited to 15 copies each. Night one features:

Ceann Capaill is a shape-shifting music project led by Irish multi-instrumentalist, Declan Haughian. Rooted musically in the rural landscape of Ireland where Haughian grew up, Ceann Capaill’s sound moves fluidly between rough phone-recorded field sounds to expansive large-room sessions, using old irish archival tapes and ecstatic post rock to string together a sound which is ancient but unsettlingly modern. https://ceanncapaill.bandcamp.com

Maximilian: A simple melody to ease a worried mind. Adrianne Lenker’s sweet lightness meets Elliott Smith’s dark intensities. Alex G’s child-like sensibility meets Neil Young’s inner presence. The result is carefully crafted songs with immaculate arrangements and earnest lyricism, like the product of some benevolent, arcane ritual. https://www.instagram.com/maxi...

Sairie: Ghosts, fairies and tragic love brought to you by the Brighton three piece of Emma Morton, Jon Griffin and Andy Thomas. Their music is like a séance; an enchanted visit to the inside of a hollow hill. Sairie’s new album, Beneath the Spreading Tree, continues their exploration of early 70’s folk influences, blending otherworldly atmospherics with stripped-back arrangements. It follows on from the success of two 7″ singles on the Fenny Compton and Gardener’s Delight labels, and two self-released EPs distributed by Hudson Records. Their music has already received high praise from The Wire, The Guardian, and Shindig! Magazine.18+
