About

PaleDAY's brand new album 'Son of Peg' will be released on 1st January 2027 to all major streaming services. ’Son of Peg' continues the rich vein of disco-pop and torch songs with an LGBTQIA+ slant. This 21st November show is the official launch party gig for the new album, and will be the first time many of the tracks have been heard in public. Come and join Anthony with his awesome sidekick guitarist Oscar, as they perform all the new tracks, plus a selection of stompers from the album and EP already out there.

PaleDAY is the discofied songwriting and band project with an LGBTQIA+ slant founded by musician Anthony Jackson-Stubbs. Inspired by the songwriting of Carole King and James Taylor, with the disco-pop harmony-led vibes of the Bee Gees amongst others. Originally signed in the early 2000s by a small independent label that had writing credits with Chaka Kahn, Air Supply, Sheena Easton, The Three Degrees and more. 2025 saw Anthony reform PaleDAY, and a revised, remastered, and re-released version of the 'Love the Groove’ album, including the track ‘Eurotramp’ which got to number 12 in the club charts back in the day. This release was quickly followed by the 'Defects EP' featuring songs written as part of his Masters degree as a response to so-called 'conversion therapy’. Two Brighton Fringe shows (Paleday - 'Dancing by Myself’) also took place garnering a 5-star review in the process:Paleday - Dancing By Myself, The Brunswick, Brighton Fringetheatreinbrighton.co.

PaleDAY's “Love the Groove’ album and the ‘Defects EP’ are both out now on Spotify, Apple Music and most other leading streaming services. PaleDAY merchandise is available from the PaleDAY shop at www.paleday.com - so if you fancy it, you can come to the gig sporting a PaleDAY t-shirt in one of many colours!!As Jack Kerouac said, 'Music is the only truth’…
