01
A place in the Featured in Birmingham row, which displays no more than five promoted events at once.
02
Your event appears only on genre and event-type pages that accurately describe it.
03
We record impressions, event views and ticket clicks, then send a detailed report when the promoted period ends.
The placement
There are no bronze, silver or gold packages. If your event is promoted, the full placement is switched on for the agreed campaign window.
Your event joins the city feature at the top of Birmingham discovery pages, where no more than five promoted events are shown at once.
We use the genres and event type already approved on your listing. For example, a House and Techno club night can appear in the Featured rows on the House, Techno and Club Night pages.
When your event genuinely matches another event by genre, type or venue, it receives priority in Similar Events.
We record featured impressions, card clicks, detail views and outbound ticket-link clicks. A detailed performance report is sent after each promoted period ends.
Local targeting
Birmingham's events are concentrated in Digbeth, where warehouse venues host regular techno, house, UK garage, and bass music nights. LAB11 runs over 200 events per year across multiple arenas. Forum Digbeth programmes large-scale electronic events. The live music circuit includes touring acts at the O2 Institute and other city centre venues.
1,823 upcoming events currently indexed
These are the pages people use to browse by music style. If a genre is attached to your approved event, your promotion can appear in the Featured row at the top of that genre page. Open any page below to see the real layout and its current events.
Event types describe the format, such as a Club Night, Gig / Live Music or Comedy event. Your promotion can appear in the Featured row for every event type already attached to its approved listing.
The small number beside each link is the current number of upcoming events in that category. If a page has no Featured row, it simply means no promoted event is currently running in that genre or event type.

Your event is placed in the Featured in Birmingham row, in featured rows on every matching genre and event-type page, and as the first sponsored result in Similar Events when it is genuinely relevant.
The main city feature shows no more than five promoted event cards at once. That keeps the placement prominent and stops the row becoming another endless advertising feed.
No. Keep using Skiddle, Fatsoma, Resident Advisor, Eventbrite, DICE, your venue website or your existing ticket page. whatnightout sends people to the link already attached to your event.
Placement follows the genres and event types already attached to your approved listing. We do not add unrelated tags just to buy extra reach; matching the right audience is more useful for everyone.
We measure featured impressions, event-card clicks, event-detail views and outbound ticket-link clicks. We will send you a detailed performance report after each promoted period ends.

During our introductory trial period, promotion costs £29 for one week or £50 for two weeks. No VAT is currently charged, so these are the total campaign prices. Both options include the full placement and campaign report, with no subscription. Contact us if you are promoting multiple events or need a package for a promoter, venue or group.

Yes. Paid placements are labelled Sponsored. Promotion changes where an eligible event appears; it does not disguise advertising or alter the event details.
