2nd City Battles returns, 09.0127, 10 Battle monster card!

2nd City Battles return to Birmingham at the Castle and Falcon 09.01.27 with a HUGE 10 battle monster card. After our successful launch event featuring names like Unanymous and Raptor we had to go bigger. We are aiming to put on big for Birmingham and grow something really special.

Main event

Matter Vs Frisko

A spinoff to one of the best 2v2 clashes ever to happen on British soil in Lunar C and Matter Vs Eddie P and Frisko. This has nostalgia, that old battle rap vibe to it and will be a guarenteed classic.

Co Main Event

Unanymous Vs Sam Hypes

There’s absolutely no denying Unanymous place in UK battle rap, he is one of the best this country has produced. After smoking his first appearance at 2nd City in July, he returns to face Sam Hypes. A man himself of veteran status and on the run of his life right now.

Pamflit Vs Sam Essay

This battle needs no story telling, expect the unexpected and prepare for a lot of laughs.

Raz Ren Vs Mccoy

A battle that really came out of nowhere but can definitely be considered a grudge match, Raz took a dislike to something Mccoy said about him, and went public about it. Leading to weeks of back and forth between the 2nd city co founder and Blackburns Raz Ren. The dislike is real, this is Raz return to battle rap and he will not want to lose however Mccoy is just as eager for a win on his platform.

Balor Vs Scotty

A randomly put together match up with no back story which turned out to be one of the most successful announcements, Irish battler Balor has been inactive and eager for a return. Scotty is hungry for his breakthrough battle which could be here. Balor has the resume and the experience but Scotty is adamant this is a walk in the park.

Red I.B vs Kinell

Red had a fantastic debut against grandiose and showed real quality, a star in the making so we’re really throwing him in the deep end in only his 2nd battle. Standing across from him is Kinell, a UK veteran who has been in with some of the best names this country has seen, names like unanymous, shuffle t etc.

A win here for red solidifies his potential but Kinell will be coming to kill his run before it’s got going.

Patch Vs Tydal Brummie Showdown

2nd city Co founder Patch faces off against the returning Tydal, a well known name who himself has had some big battles over the years, both guys from Birmingham, were a Birmingham based platform, expect fireworks.

Grandiose Vs Jimbob Gnarly

Grandiose stepped in on our July card on 2 weeks notice and done a fine job, this time he gets a full 3 rounds with plenty of prep time to really make his impression, standing across from him is Jimbob Gnarly, Jimbob has promised to come back with his best stuff, he wants an active and impressive 2027.

Lysergic Vs Darkness

Bristol based Lysergic who won hia 2nd city debut convincing returns to try and make it 2-0, standing across is Darkness, a debutant with a twist, everyone knows Darkness as Wez, a very familiar face in the scene and a huge fan. From the announcement of this battle alone the support Darkness is incredible, also stand up comic so expect jokes. We cant wait for this one.

Weatherboy Vs Code

Two try outs to the platform, Code has never battled and Weatherboy has had 1 battle elsewhere. A great opportunity for one of these guys to really start their career here with a bang
