IL are a 6 piece metal band from Sheffield, combining a mixture of Post Showgaze, Black Metal and prog, as well as bits and pieces of other styles blended together into a rich soup of heavy and atmospheric sounds.Shortly after forming we played our first show at the 2019 Metal 2 The Masses, making it as far as the final round. 5 years later, after many shows in Sheffield and the North of England, we entered and won the 2024 Metal 2 The Masses. This culminated with us playing the New Blood stage at Bloodstock Festival. With this under our belts we went on a nationwide tour promoting the release of our most recent album ‘Vessel’. We have since released a number of music videos, continue to perform live and have added a new member to our ranks in Lucas Monday on synth and 3rd guitar. We continue to grow and evolve as a band and are currently writing material towards our next album release.
