On the evening of 23rd May we'll be welcoming one of our all time favourite producers and selectors to Plot 22 for an enormous 5 HOUR SET. A true pioneer whose "dark-swing" sound essentially laid the blueprints for dubstep. As an original resident of the infamous FWD>> and a MOBO-nominated heavyweight, Zed has spent over two decades shattering stylistic standards, taking his genre-defying sets from the underground booths of East London to headline stages and Red Bull Music Academy lectures across the globe.
A master of the "perpetual motion" philosophy, Zed’s musical repertoire is massive, traversing everything from house and UK garage to dancehall and broken beat with effortless flair. This versatility has seen him rework tracks for over 200 world-renowned artists, giving the "Zed treatment" to everyone from Whitney Houston and Mary J. Blige to Disclosure and Chase & Status, proving his status as one of the most prolific remixers in the game.
At the heart of his legacy is the all-time UKG anthem "Neighbourhood," a track that remains so essential it recently soundtracked the People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan movie. Whether he’s leaning into deep dub reggae or high-energy 2-step, Zed’s unique connection to the dancefloor and his drive to constantly overturn convention ensure a set that is as surprising as it is iconic.
Expect a full-spectrum journey through UK bass from the man who pioneered the sound 30 years ago and is still pushing the boundaries today.
