Step into the warm, intimate surroundings of By Our Hands for an evening of captivating live music from three exceptional singer-songwriters, each bringing their own distinctive voice, sound and story.
From ethereal electro-folk to intimate acoustic songwriting and soulful, dreamlike soundscapes, this all-woman line-up offers three unique musical worlds to get lost in.
Koral Knights is the electro-folk project of Lucy Day, whose music has been described by BBC Radio Derby as "folk music that invites you to dive deeper into your imagination." Blending electric guitar, live effects and electronic beats, her genre-spanning songs weave together elements of indie, grunge, spoken word and ambient music.
Franziska Meszar is a queer Nottingham-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose soft vocals, honest lyricism and gentle guitar playing create an atmosphere of quiet intimacy. Franziska writes of love, loss, and introspection, with truthful, direct, and deeply relatable storytelling. Originally from Germany, Franziska is influenced by jazz, soul, neo-soul and folk. Her music draws inspiration from artists including Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Eloise and Laufey. She is currently recording and producing her debut releases.
Anya Deja is a BBC Introducing-recognised vocalist, pianist and singer-songwriter who crafts vivid stories through a folky-soul sound. Her haunting vocals, instinctive improvisation and poetic lyricism create a dreamy, vulnerable atmosphere that feels both deeply personal and quietly transportive. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Nina Simone, Björk, Portishead, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, her performances invite listeners into a sonic landscape that is both familiar and uncannily new.
Whether you're discovering these artists for the first time or returning to hear them again, expect an evening of heartfelt songwriting, immersive performances and music that lingers long after the final note.
