About this event

Full send for our 4th Birthday! We have gone big this year, what with it being the very notable 4th year of our existence. Its an absolute privilege for us to run the venue and to book artists that we love, and each year the birthday is meant to be a real celebration of what we do. Hard to argue with this years line up! We have Al Wooton headlining with his serpentine heads down Dub-Techno, Germ Lattice bring the wonkiest post-punk, A Happy Return is a beautiful homespun kind of minimal folk and Leucotome self describe as a Organic Industrial Femme Folk Cult. As if that wasn't enough, we're staying open late-late with the wonky post-everything sounds of the NTS resident Lupini and house fiend Jon C.

Al Wootton is a producer, DJ, artist and operator of the record labels TRULE and Amidah Recordings. Through his own releases and those on his label he navigates the zone between Techno, Dub, UK Garage, and sparse, hypnotic percussion workouts. He is also one third of the band Holy Tongue. https://alwootton.bandcamp.com...

"Dirt-caked, tape-damaged outsider jams at their filthiest, Germ Lattice is a flagrant deconstruction of post-punk, unravelling screwed basslines, chants and ritualistic beats with time dilating, on-the-fly concrète processes and canny studio techniques. Properly advanced biz, bit like hearing Valerio Tricoli let loose on The Fall's master tapes."

"A Happy Return distills a quietly radiant folk minimalism that feels both homespun and transcendent. Built from acoustic sketches, tape hiss, and pastoral fragments, the latest record reflects on belonging, landscape, and impermanence—its short pieces flickering like field recordings of emotion, half-remembered but deeply intimate."

"Leuctome are a mystifying and unmapped musical crossroads linking goth, no wave, postpunk and first-two-albums-era PJ Harvey"
