A Stone's Throw Festival returns to North Shields on Saturday 23rd May
2026 for its fourth edition, a full-day multi-venue celebration of new music
across one of the North East's most exciting coastal towns.
The festival brings together some of the best emerging and established artists
from around the UK and beyond, championing North Shields' thriving
grassroots scene while welcoming audiences into a walkable route of
independent venues, community spaces, and intimate stages.
2026 lineup includes: LUVCAT, WORKING MEN’S CLUB, CHALK, PANIC SHACK
+ many more exciting artists - more artists to be announced.
Past headliners and highlights include Shame, The Horrors, Katy J Pearson,
White Lies, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Sundara Karma, Pip Blom, Vistas,
BILK, and more. Each year delivers a packed day of discoveries, high-energy
sets, and standout performances.
HOW THE FESTIVAL WORKS
Your festival ticket grants access to all participating venues throughout the day.
You will exchange your ticket for a wristband at the designated collection point
before entering the festival route.
The festival operates across multiple venues, each with its own atmosphere and
programme. Most stages are within easy walking distance, and a
dedicated festival bus will run continuous loops across the site throughout the
day. The bus offers the quickest way to travel between venues, with stops
positioned close to each participating space. It also provides an important
accessibility option for those who may find the route difficult on foot.
Venues will admit wristband holders in line with their licensed capacities. At
peak times you may encounter queues, so arriving early for artists you are keen
to see is strongly advised. Flexibility goes a long way at A Stone's Throw, and
discovering new artists as you move between spaces is a big part of the day.
