We’re back once again and it’s bigger than ever. The M2TM Manchester 2026 Grand Final is fast approaching, and we’re beyond excited to announce our guest bands for this massive event.
By now you already know how 0161 Manchester Underground Metal Community Promotions do things we don’t just host a show, we create a full-on, all-day metal experience.
Important: This event sells out every single year. Don’t wait, grab your tickets early to avoid missing out. We hate turning people away at the door, but it happens every year.
We’ve still got 2 Quarter Finals and 2 Semi Finals to go, where the final 4 bands will battle it out for their place on the Grand Final stage. The competition so far has been absolutely brutal and it’s only getting more intense.
Huge thanks to Rebellion Manchester for being incredible hosts throughout the past 6 months. From the sound engineers to the bar staff, you’ve all been amazing, and we truly appreciate everything you do to make these events happen. 🙌
Kicking off our grand final is ChrysalidHomo In 2019, three brothers emerged from the ashes of Salfordian Prog-Punk outfit, Trojan Horse. Heavily laden with synths, harmonies and crooning, these heralds of a dark and dangerous future are here to shock and awe. Not afraid of drawing influences from those that have come before, this merry band of mad-max musicians can name those early pioneers of electronic music; Kraftwerk, The Human League, John Foxx (to name only 3), as shaping their own unique sound.
Up next we have Kringer and the Battle Katz. Founded in 2015 the soldiers of joy that are the Battle Katz united under the banner of "KRINGER AND THE BATTLE KATZ" to bring you meaty riffs, pounding beats, ear deafening screams, and lung rupturing bass lines. Combining a mixture of Groove metal, Thrash Metal, Nu-Metal, Punk, Ska, Funk and whatever else they can.
Up next, we welcome the long-awaited return of Manchester’s own Viking warriors, VLKA. Yes you read that right, they’re back. Whether this is a one-off appearance or the start of something more permanent, we’re just as excited as you to find out what they have in store. With a strong legacy in M2TM Manchester, it’s fantastic to have them rejoin the competition and make their presence felt once again on the local scene.
Up next we have Newcastle based alt thrashers Kilonova. Formed in 2017, Their sound is described as fast, aggressive, and high energy, drawing on classic thrash influences but with a modern UK underground edge. Themselves have graced the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock having won M2TM Newcastle back in 2018
Up next is Welsh / Manchester based Deathcore giants Dystopian Sun. Formed in 2018 with the purpose of being an online project, North Wales Deathcore band, Dystopian Sun set out to show that they are hungry for more and have shown time and time again that they are an up and coming force to be reckoned with. Adding a mixture of classical symphonic genres to the already brutal ensemble of heavy hitting riffs, monstrous drums, stylised lead lines and vocals so demonic you’ll think you’ve arrived at the gates of hell to greet the devil himself. A balance of fast and aggressive with slow, brutal breakdowns accompanied by some bouncy, sing along choruses is what makes the band unique. Again another act who has played Bloodstock having won M2TM North Wales back in 2023.
Up next we bring a band that are considering one of Manchester’s finest underground acts in DEKAYTAH. They’re often described as a hard hitting, high-energy live band with a strong presence in local shows and festivals. Having recently signed the Real thing artist Management. They’ve already headlined such prestigious venues such as Manchester Academy and Rebellion.
Up next we have London based rockets JOANovARC. Exploding onto the international music scene in early 2015 with the acclaimed singles Live Rock ’n’ Roll and White Trash, JOANovARC’s status as the new ‘Queens of Rock’ is about to rise even higher with their debut album, Ride Of Your Life. Released on 9th November 2016 through Red Vixen Records/Universal, available through HMV stores UK and outlets around the world. The album was recorded at the legendary Rockfield studios and produced by Grammy winning producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters). The band has had 1 million streams with Rock band Xbox 360 hit ‘Say Sayonara’ and performed at the iconic Viper Rooms in Hollywood.
Main Support - VMBRA. M2TM Manchester 2025 winners return as our main support act. Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of bands including Porcupine Tree, Haken, The Dear Hunter, Karnivool, and Leprous, VMBRA crafts Progressive Metal characterised by powerful choruses, lush vocal harmonies, intricate riffs and structures, dramatic dynamic shifts and skilful genre fusion.
