Contours (Music From Memory / Rhythm Section) & Yadava (So Flute / Church) bring their long- standing NTS show 'Expansions' to Bar Shrimp for a special bank holiday session. Expect a journey deep into their record collections, drawing out soulful and cosmic sounds that touch on jazz, house, percussive obscurities, blissed-out ambient and minimalism, disco, boogie, raw club cuts and anything else they stumble across.
This time round they are joined by some very special guests to slot in with their ‘anything goes’ spirit…King Kit, Lejon and resident music maestro Lukas.
King Kit
King kit is a DJ who speaks in synths, playing anything from italo and breaks to acid and electro. She’ll be packing deep grooves and melodies that will make you move.
Lejon
Expect a discerning collection of sounds that groove, covering everything from sweet and soulful disco and gospel through to Latin house, Brazilian obscurities and wonky synth led boogie.
Lukatti Bugatti
Lukatti Bugatti stepped onto the Manchester scene in 2015, bringing deep sonic futurism and an innate ability to make you feel what he feels. His genre-defying sets secured him a ten-year residency at Homoelectric and he now sits as Music Director of Bar Shrimp.
