As the summer sun begins to set on our beloved shite hotel, we gather again for Part 2 of our tenth year celebrations..
A sense of impending doom has pushed us to reflect on what it is that we have actually been doing all these years. When it’s all over, what will we have to show for it? As the end draws near, what kind of party would best articulate the message here? What does Bakk Heia mean anyway?
The answers all pointed towards throwing a party with the people who have built it from the start. The word ‘community’ seems to be having a moment in pop culture, but if you stripped back the layers, all this has ever been is an opportunity for us to share our weird records with our friends. If, along the way, that resulted in a few more folks receiving the message, and coming back for another glug from the eternal cup, then all the better. And if those people ended up becoming our friends, then maybe that is community?
So we will be playing all night, with an extended live set from our confectionary gobbling frog man.
