Taste of ’96 brings #IN THE AIR to Brixton Jamm on Saturday 8th August.

We’re doing a big day party in the courtyard with all our favourite DJs and our amazing community, built through #IN THE RAVE.

Get down for the jerk BBQ thanks to family-owned and Brixton-local 876 District!

From 2pm-10pm, with Taste of '96 residents & special guests.

All set to a soundtrack of UK Garage, House, UK Bass and Jungle.

JANAWAY

Janaway has cemented himself firmly within the Jungle scene with numerous successful releases over the years, notably working with labels such as Future Retro, N4 as well as starting a series of exciting self releases.

His production style is recognized by a blend of heavyweight basslines, infectious breakbeats and ethereal melodies all brought together for club ready tracks. His tunes have gained the support from the likes of Nia Archives, Tim Reaper, Fracture to name a few.

Over the past year Janaway has been experimenting with the fusion of UK and Brazilian Bass music, with his recent EP release - Jungle Funk Vol. 1 gaining attention for its clever mix of jungle infused production with typical Brazilian Rhythms and vocals. He is continuously working in the studio to keep pushing the boundaries of modern dance music at 160bpm and this can be witnessed during his live DJ sets.

SUBMATIC

Submatic is the architect of DKG — Dub Kingdom Garage. A sound he created from scratch, built on foundation-shaking, chest-rattling low-end, infectious skippy riddims and that undeniable UKG swing — guaranteed to shut down the dance. Rooted in sound system culture. Built for the new wave. Submatic bridges both.

From sweaty basement raves to massive festival stages — Reggae Geel, Boomtown, Uprising, Ministry of Sound, Hootananny’s, Volks, Freight Island and supporting L’Entourloop on their UK tour. To the studio working with some of the most respected names in the game — Ed Solo, Brother Culture, Eva Lazarus, Gardna — with collaborations spanning Lila Ike, Green Lion Crew, Capleton, Roe Summerz, Hempress Sativa, Manu Digital & General Levy.

This isn’t UKG, Jungle or Dub — this is Dub Kingdom Garage. Remixes and originals dropping throughout 2026.

JOLIE P

Jolie P is a dynamic UK vocalist, MC, and DJ who fuses soulful and honest songwriting with the high-energy pulse of garage, jungle, and dance/electronic music as a whole. On weekends, Jolie commands stages across the UK and Europe, with performances at Glastonbury, Boomtown, The Roundhouse, Outlook, Tate Modern, Wireless, and more.

As the founder and former resident of Sexy Lady Massive, she champions women in music through her ladies-only events and outspoken advocacy for safe, inclusive spaces and with music featured in FIFA 26, she is rapidly becoming one of the most compelling voices in the UK music landscape
