Soul On The Canal Side:

After another brilliant summer of SOTCS sessions, Mucho Soul close out the season with a day-into-night journey from sunlit terrace grooves to deep house and disco after dark, with a line-up curated especially for the occasion.

Mia Rahaman (Dora The Explorer)

Mia Rahaman is a 22-year-old DJ with a love for old-school music. Her sets blend soul, funk, disco and hip hop, bringing together feel-good classics, old-school grooves and plenty of energy! She’s played at various London venues including Between the Bridges, Love Vinyl, BBE, Brutus, Wishful Drinking, Mad Cats, Wood Street Bear and Hazels. Mia is excited to be joining Ket and Alan at Grow for this end-of-summer celebration and is hugely grateful for the invitation — expect good music, good energy and plenty of reasons to dance!

Neasha

A lifelong music head with deep dancefloor roots, Neasha’s story stretches from classical percussion and music production to spinning breakbeat as Miss-Use in 90s Scotland. Returning to the decks after more than 20 years away, she now moves freely through reggae, soul, ska, dub, dance and disco, drawing from a personal collection built over decades.

Jerry Frempong

A seasoned house selector and vinyl obsessive, Jerry Frempong has played everywhere from Ministry of Sound and Sankeys to intimate Thames boat parties through his own Pret A Ecouter nights. His sets draw on decades of digging and dancefloor experience, with house at their heart and a broad musical sensibility running throughout. More recently, Jerry has also been working with BBE on reissuing music from Ghanaian label Asona Records.

Mucho Soul

Founded in Soho in 2001 by Alan Kenny Arscott and Ket Shah, Mucho Soul have spent more than two decades joining the dots between jazz, reggae, funk, broken beat, house, disco and electronic music. Their Soul On The Canal Side parties have been a fixture at Grow since 2017.

ENTRY INFORMATION

This event is free before 9pm and kicks off from 4pm. After 9pm, tickets are £10 on the door. There are no advance tickets.

It’s one of the busiest events in Grow’s calendar, and we usually hit capacity early. Once we’re full, it’ll be one in, one out. So come down early to beat the queue, or be ready to wait patiently if you arrive later.
