wo leading figures in sound and visual art present As Nature, an immersive audio-visual experience exploring natural sound and perception.
As Nature is an ongoing exploration of field recording and environmental sound, unfolding across extremes of scale and intensity. Moving from near-silence to dense, seismic textures, the work transforms familiar sounds into abstract drones, noise and evolving harmonic structures.
Sound artist KMRU’s expansive, textural compositions are met by a responsive visual environment created by visual artist Nick Verstand. Using drifting fabrics, airflow, light, lasers and smoke, the visuals form mirage-like structures that shift in dialogue with the sound, complemented by a scent component developed in collaboration with scent artist Mareike Bode.
As Nature is a visceral experience offering a rare opportunity to encounter sound and vision as a single, evolving environment shaped by natural processes and perception.
Please note: This performance will feature the use of lasers, haze and scents.
Stage times will be confirmed closer to the date.
