GLITCHED is back at The Greyhound, featuring Sarra Wild and supporting Not a Phase.
Sarra has long been one of our favourite DJs on the scene, blending techno, dub, jungle and more into powerful and forward-thinking sets. GLITCHED has been loud before, this will be louder.
Wild’s early sonic genealogy spans from Algerian Rai and Lebanese pop music that they were immersed in at home, before they graduated to radical French rap via the La Haine soundtrack and Underground Resistance during forays into Glasgow’s infamous techno underground. This upbringing of heady non-Western melodies and rhythms, Afrofuturism and fearless experimentalism underpins Sarra’s approach to DJing and drives their dedication to exciting new music and artists from and of the diaspora.
Our residents, BBBB and Daniel Julian will be doing a first-ever B2B to get the room moving: expect hypnotic grooves and dreamy vocals.
As always, GLITCHED operates in support of trans causes. While nightlife can be a way to escape from the world, we have a commitment to making a material impact. As with our last event, we'll be supporting Not a Phase, who work to improve the lives of trans* people in the UK with fitness classes, voice workhops, and socials. At least 40% of our profit will be donated to Not a Phase, and all the extra revenue from the "Solidarity" tickets will be donated.
Everyone is welcome at GLITCHED, but we would ask those attending as allies to materialise their allyship, and book a solidarity ticket if they can. There are cheaper tickets available for the trans* community: please only buy these if you identify as trans or non-binary, but we will never question you on the door. If you have any further access needs, please contact us on Instagram.
