Our 3rd Birthday celebrations continue as we join forces with close allies, Side Two. East London, 2 locations, 15 hours of the finest house, garage, techno.
We kick things off in the open air at Hackney Wick's most beloved waterside spot, Crate Brewery. Bristol-based selector Milly On Air will be closing this one out. Known for her dynamic, playful energy and her euphoric & multi genre selections, she's one of the most exciting names to emerge from the UK underground in recent years. With a sound that's ooted in 90s and 00s house, progressive, tribal, acid and techno — but never confined by them — we are extremely excited to have Milly join us!!
Joining her in the sunshine, we also have the 'Do As You Please' head honcho and now certified gaffa, Joe Roche joining us for a b2b with our day 1 resident, Layson. Joe Roche's style spans a wide spectrum of house and techno sub-genres, inventively fused with an eclectic funk. Combined with Layson's always on point selections, this should be a perfect fit for an open-air evening setting. Then rounding out proceedings we have Nick Clev b2b Sam Beach, the duo behind Side Two & Bad Intentions main man, Marlon Baleci - bringing the flavour of both brands in abundance.
As the sun goes down, the party moves indoors to The Glove That Fits for the after party, where the energy shifts up a gear. Heading up the night is East London stalwart Michelle Manetti — DJ, vocalist, promoter and producer, with over 20 years behind the decks and a reputation as one of the most respected figures in the city's queer underground scene. Sonically driven by jackin' house beats, trippy acid, dynamic techno and more recently proto, Italo and breaks, her sets are as eclectic as they are energetic. She's joined by Twice Shy b2b Nick Clev, Marlon Baleci b2b Sam Beach, and Joe Roche b2b Layson — a stacked, familiar crew closing out a birthday to remember.
This is more than just a celebration. This is breaking down barriers.
