This is the debut night of a project showcasing experimental live music in Leeds.
Expect self-built instruments, sound collage, folkloric sensibilities and a stage full of synths.
The opening act for the evening is the enchanting and wyrd electronic folk duo Cyfarwydd. Taking their name from the Welsh word for a traditional storyteller, they combine acid-drenched drones with gothic melancholy in a bewitching tale of sonic folklore.
The Silver Field, the mesmerising pseudonym of Coral Rose Kindred-Boothby. With her modular synthesiser and an array of self-built electronic instruments, Coral “weaves together song-soundscapes, creating a rich and dream-like tapestry of sound that draws from folk music tradition, experimental electronics and psychedelia.”
Rounding off the evening is a good friend and immensely talented Ethan (ESCM). Having debuted his live show earlier this year at Haunted Dancehall in Manchester, Ethan patiently churns up a raw mulch of dingy, industrial chuggers that will round off the night's live performances.
