RED KING launches his new EP THE DARK BEFORE with a special live show at Room 2, celebrating his most focused and immersive work to date.
A follow-up to 2023’s For the Night and the second chapter in a trilogy of EPs, THE DARK BEFORE is a synth-laden dive into the psyche and streets of Glasgow. Drawing influence from The Prodigy, GAIKA and CasIsDead, RED KING guides listeners through a dystopian, greyscale world where each track acts as a visual emblem.
From the hypnotic, cyclical pulse of CLOCKWORK ORANGE, to the dark-garage bite of SLEEPLESS (ft. Chrissy Grimez & Lynx), and the genre-blending introspection of PETALS, the EP balances club-ready energy with sharp, introspective storytelling.
On the night, RED KING performs with a full live band and immersive visuals, alongside an eclectic lineup of electronic, rap and alternative artists from Glasgow, in collaboration with Love Music Hate Racism.
