We're delighted to welcome Ben Pest back to The Berkeley Suite with his new hardware live set! Since his last visit to Glasgow, he's continued tearing through clubs and festivals across Europe and recently hooked up with Egyptian Lover for a one-off masterclass in machine funk! We can't wait to have him back in our favourite basement. Support on the night from ourselves and Darrell Pulse.
Ben Pest, a Bristol-based producer and live performer, is known for his hybrid fusion of electro, bass, techno and breaks. As well as his numerous solo releases, Ben has collaborated with artists including Egyptian Lover, Radioactive Man, Kursa and Imogen; with appearances on vinyl labels such as Mechatronica, Cultivated Electronics, Love Love Records, Orson Records, Posh End Music, Co-Accused, Earwiggle, Wigs, Asking for Trouble, Science Cult, and I Love Acid, to name a few.
In dj sets, Ben Pest builds a high energy journey starting quietly to turns into jumping and breaking vibes that push you on the dancefloor and make you feel happy and tireless. A freak on the machines, squeezing acid squelches and ripping reeses from his legion of boxes, stacked high on gut-punching beats. An incomparable live performer, Ben's machine mastery has taken him to sweatbox clubs and festival stages including Tresor, Razzmatazz, Glastonbury, Oxi Club, Corsica Studios, Phonox and Boomtown.
